Accounting Level 2Code: ACC 2 Subject: Accounting Level: Two Entry Requirement: NCEA Accounting Level 1 minimum of six credits, OR NCEA Mathematics Level 1 Achievement Standard 1.1 and a minimum of eight credits, OR HOD approval. Course Outline: Accounting is the study of the processes of translating financial transaction data into information to assist decision-makers to make relevant, accurate and timely decisions. This course will develop a student’s understanding of the concepts of Accounting and how they are applied to a range of situations for trading and service businesses. It will include the recording and processing of financial transactions, both manually and on the computer; identifying and designing accounting systems, including in-depth studies of the accounting systems; the reporting of financial and non-financial information to assist in making informed business decisions.
