Course Outline:
- Environmental and planning issues in New Zealand including a school-selected study which involves field work and a global study of a current world-wide issue.
- Extreme natural events and a study of volcanic eruptions or flooding, drought in Australia or Tropical Cyclones in the South Pacific.
- Dairy farming and coal mining in New Zealand and includes a field trip where they will collect and analyse information. Work is assessed using Achievement Standards, both during the year and in the external exams. This course is useful if you are interested in people’s impact on the environment and planning in your community and develops your writing and research skills for Level 2 Geography.

$10.00 for print resources
