2.   Achievement Standard Biology 1.3 (90163) Describe transfer of genetic information.
3.  10 NCEA Level One Mathematics Achievement Standard credits.

Course Outline:  Biology is the study of life.  It involves investigating the variety and complexity of living organisms. Topics covered include ecology, cell biology, genetics and the diversity and structure in animals.  A large component of the work is based on practical laboratory work.  This course is composed of a combination of internally and externally assessed standards.
