Entry Requirement:  14 NCEA Level Two Physics Achievement Standard credits, OR HOD/TIC approval.

Course Outline:   Physics is the study of natural phenomena - physical things that are encountered in everyday living. Topics covered include relationships between physical quantities, light and sound waves with an emphasis on music, rotational motion and simple harmonic motion, radioactivity and electricity. A large component of the work is based on practical laboratory work. This course is composed of a combination of internally and externally assessed standards.
