History Level 3Code: HIS 3 Subject: History Level: Three Entry Requirement: At least 12 Credits in Level 2 History, Social Studies or English. Course Outline: This course is for those students who are curious about events and people in the past and is useful for students who want to improve their writing and researching skills. The topics are based on English history from Elizabeth I to the Restoration. As well as looking at these famous kings and queens and the important events that happened in these times, eg the Civil War, we also look at the society of the time - such things as witchcraft, family life and childbirth practices. History teaches useful skills for anyone planning to work with their mind or communicate in writing. It teaches you how to sort out complex ideas and to express them in clear, well-structured and easily understood writing. It is very useful in preparing you for researching and writing essays at Tertiary level. There are 2 internal assessments and 3 external assessments, plus optional assessments. Cost: $12.00 plus cost for Field trip
