Chemistry

Chemistry is a study of the chemical world. Topics covered include atomic structure, organic chemistry, redox chemistry and physical chemistry. A large component of the work is based on practical laboratory work.

Chemistry courses start at Level 2 (generally year 12) and progress to Level 3 (generally year 13). These courses are composed of a combination of internally and externally assessed standards.

Chemistry leads onto a huge variety of further courses and careers including, nursing, medicine, engineering, technology, horticulture, biochemistry and food science.
