Physics at level two and three is the study of natural phenomena – physical things that are encountered in everyday living. Topics covered include relationships between physical quantities, light and waves, mechanics, radioactivity and electricity. A large component of the work is based on practical laboratory work. This course is composed of a combination of internally and externally assessed standards.
We have eight well equipped laboratories, fifteen science teachers and two science technicians.
Physics opens up career opportunities such as engineering, architecture aircraft, computer science, biophysics, medicine and manufacturing.
We offer Physics at NCEA levels 2 & 3.
