KRISTIN CATO

Staff Representative

I was elected for the role of Staff Representative for the Board of Trustees in October 2018 and was re-elected in June 2019.

Since graduating in 1990 I have taught in various schools in New Zealand and overseas. I was first employed at Hamilton Girls’ High School from 2002 to 2006.

After teaching in Christchurch I returned to Hamilton Girls’ High School in 2016 to work in the Mathematics Department. My partner and I have two children.

This is an exciting and interesting time to be involved in education. A strong curriculum, high quality leadership, good teacher morale and a Board that is supportive of the Principal, Senior Management and teachers’ professional development are fundamental to the success of Hamilton Girls’ High School.
