Hamilton Girls’ High School has Homestay families available to share their home and lives with an international student. The school’s expectation is that all homestays provide a secure, caring and supportive environment to our students. This will enable our girls to improve their English and develop their global competency skills.

Prospective host families undergo a selection process which includes an interview, reference checks, police vetting and a home visit. Students can expect their own fully-furnished room, and all meals are provided including lunch/snacks to bring to school. Students will also have their laundry done.

If you are applying for Homestay, the fees invoice will include a year’s homestay fee in advance, along with your tuition and other fees required. The Homestay fee is held in trust and paid fortnightly to the homestay family by the school.
