Hamilton Girls’ High School student, Pippa Mihaka, travelled to Wellington during the school holidays (19-24th April) to compete at the National Age Group Swimming (NAGS) Championships as a 14-year-old.
Pippa has already developed a fierce reputation for being an outstanding competitor in the pool and is dominant in backstroke. She has added to some incredible results from past swimming meets with the following placings at the championships:
- 1st 50m backstroke
- 2nd 100m backstroke
- 2nd 200m backstroke
- 2nd 50m freestyle
In the U15 relays Pippa and her team placed:
- 2nd in the mixed freestyle
- 3rd in the female medley
We are very proud of Pippa’s swimming achievements and can’t wait to see what she can do next!
